Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you accept cancellations and are refunds offered?

Cancellations may be made, which will become effective at the end of the current subscription

period. Refunds, generally, are not offered except under special circumstances. Requests for

refund must be submitted in writing.

What is the time limit for submitting claims (e.g. claims for missing or damaged issues)?

Unless a claim is made for non‐receipt of issues within 6 months of the mailing date, the

American University International Law Review cannot be held responsible for supplying those

issues without charge.

Does the subscription start anytime of the year or will you only accept a subscription on a specific start date, calendar year, academic year, or volume basis?

We can start a subscription at any time of the year; although, it is preferable for accounting and

subscription tracking purposes to start your subscription at the beginning of the volume year.

Will you backstart a subscription (i.e. start the subscription with a start date prior to the date the order is submitted)?

We can backstart a subscription to the first issue of the current volume.

What language(s) is the title published in?

The AU International Law Review is published in primarily in English. One issue per year is

published in conjunction with the Washington College of Law’s Human Rights Academy, which is

half English and half Spanish; the Spanish pieces are not translated, but rather stand alone

within that issue.
